Hi! I’m Sarah

My path into herbalism began in 2019, rooted in a deep curiosity about the body and a desire to understand healing in a more holistic and intuitive way. Since then, I have completed training through the School of Evolutionary Herbalism, the California School of Herbal Studies, and the Acorn Herb School. Each of these experiences has shaped the way I approach my work, blending traditional knowledge with a modern, deeply personalized perspective.

I practice through a vitalist lens, which means I view the body as inherently intelligent and always moving toward balance. Rather than seeing symptoms as problems to suppress, I understand them as meaningful expressions of the body’s attempt to communicate and restore harmony. My role is to help interpret that language and offer support that works with the body, not against it. Healing, in this way, is not something imposed from the outside, but something that unfolds when the right conditions are created.

In my practice, I place a strong emphasis on gut health as a foundation for overall wellbeing. I work with clients one-on-one to explore the connections between digestion, lifestyle, and vitality, offering guidance that includes dietary shifts, lifestyle practices, and custom herbal formulations tailored to each individual.

Outside of my practice, I feel most at home in the natural world. I spend my time swimming in the Yuba River, wildcrafting, weaving pine needle baskets, and getting creative in the kitchen. These practices are not separate from my work, they are an extension of the same relationship with the land and the plants that informs everything I offer.

I am a California native currently living in Nevada City, where I continue to deepen my connection to place, plants, and the people I serve.
